The main road axis is the N346 (eastern Lyon ring road), a dual-carriageway expressway accessible via exits 8 (Meyzieu-Centre) and 9 (Meyzieu-Z.I.), which rings the east of Meyzieu and is the main Lyon bypass link. The A43 (Lyon-Chambery) passes to the south 4 km away via Saint-Priest. The A432 (Lyon-Saint-Exupery) starts to the south-east via Genas. The N84 (Lyon-Bourg-en-Bresse route) leads north. The D517 (Avenue des Frieres) crosses Meyzieu from west to east. The D147 serves the industrial zone. Tramway T3 (Lyon Part-Dieu-Meyzieu Z.I.) serves the centre with its terminus at Meyzieu Z.I., and the Rhonexpress (Lyon-Saint-Exupery TER) uses the same infrastructure. The Jonage canal bridge links the centre to the Grand Parc.

Meyzieu candidates take their test at the Saint-Priest practical exam centre, the main eastern Lyon centre (along with Venissieux for the south Lyon area). Typical exam routes cross the N346 with merging via exits 8 and 9, include coexistence with tramway T3 on Avenue des Frieres (dedicated platform shared with Rhonexpress, high-speed vehicles), traverse the centre via Rue du Marechal-Leclerc and Place de la Liberation, include the Meyzieu-Jonage industrial-zone roundabouts (one of the metropolis's densest for heavy goods), pass through the Grand Parc de Miribel-Jonage accesses (Route de Jons), and exit towards Decines-Charpieu via the D55 or Jonage via the D517.
